Portraits with a purpose

My love of photography, my passion for community.

Portraits with a Purpose is a series of special photography events created to give back to the people and causes that matter most to our community. Each event is centered around a specific need, family, or organization, with sessions offered in exchange for a meaningful donation rather than a traditional session fee. From helping families facing difficult circumstances to supporting local organizations, every session has a purpose beyond the photographs themselves. It’s a chance to create beautiful memories while coming together to make a difference.

Past Events
Last fall, Portraits with a Purpose kicked off with a community food drive, turning family portraits into an opportunity to help fill local food pantry shelves. Families brought donations in exchange for their sessions, coming together to make a simple gesture of kindness add up to something meaningful for our community.

Stand With Andrew was a pay-what-you-can Portraits with a Purpose event created to support Andrew and his family as they navigated his battle with leiomyosarcoma. Our community came together through photographs and generosity, with every donation helping offer financial support and a reminder that Andrew and his family didn’t have to walk through this season alone.

Our Back-to-School Portraits with a Purpose event turned school supplies into an opportunity to give back. Families brought much-needed school supply donations in exchange for their sessions, helping local students start the school year with the supplies they need to learn, grow, and succeed. It was a beautiful reminder that small acts of generosity can make a big difference.
